We invite you to a workshop on the Gregorian chants of Holy Week, led by Marcel Pérès.
The workshop will run from Holy Monday, 15.04.2019, to Holy Wednesday, 17.04.2019, at the Dominican Friary in Kraków, 12 Stolarska Street. Prior registration via the application form is required; the participation fee is PLN 330 (PLN 300 if you register by 7.04.2019).
Tutor
Marcel Pérès is a composer, singer, organist and music historian. In 1982 he founded the Ensemble Organum. For more than thirty-five years he has carried out a wide range of research into musical memory and bringing it to life. He has recorded about forty albums and is the author of numerous books and articles. He is particularly interested in the history of rites seen through the prism of chant. He wants to understand why and how people make and have made music. His pilgrimage through the meanders of musical memory has led him to explore all musical forms from late antiquity to the beginning of the 21st century.
